Grace Episcopal Church is part of a worldwide denomination with more than 80 million members in 164 countries. Supporting the life, work and witness of church partners around the world is our global mission. We consider our mission one with the Church Universal, which is “to restore all people to unity with God and with each other in Christ.”
All are welcome in our worship. Our worship is based on the Book of Common Prayer. Our Sunday worship centers on celebrating the Holy Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper. We consider Sacraments to be outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace, given by Christ as sure and certain means by which we receive that grace. The Holy Eucharist and Holy Baptism are the two sacraments instituted by Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We affirm that Holy Scripture contains all things necessary for salvation. The Old and New Testaments are the “Word of God because God inspired their authors and because God still speaks to us through the Bible.” Through studying God’s Word and through prayer, individually and in community, we seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit for ordering our life and embracing the gifts of God’s grace. We believe that all people are ministers of the Gospel in various callings, and we value and honor the ministries of everyone in our congregation. A governing board, the Vestry, is elected by the congregation to oversee the finances and direction of the parish.
